If your horse is recovering from an injury or procedure and requires a tailor-made rehab programme, Birtle Riding Centre can help; we offer customised services to help get your horse back on the road to recovery. Our experienced staff will work with you and your vets to ensure the rehab programme offered is tailored to meet your specific needs.
During their time with us, your horse’s rehab programme will be supervised by one of our yard managers; they will ensure that you are kept up to date on progress, liaise with other professionals involved in their care at your request, and maintain an over view of all aspects of your horse’s care to ensure continuity.
So if your horse needs box rest, recuperation or post-operative care get in touch. You can bring your horse to us directly from treatment.
Our rehab team are equipped with an Equilibrium massage pad and hotspot massage mitt, Arc Equine units for pain management and tissue repair, and balance pads for strengthening. We have a horse walker for controlled exercise, and a small all-weather turnout space for safe, contained turnout where appropriate.
