We have had a busy festive period and start to the new year.
Over Christmas we hosted a festive clear round for our liveries and anyone else who wanted to join in. Great fun was had by all, and plenty of quality home made cakes were baked and devoured!
Early January saw one of our liveries reach a special birthday, so of course the yard family helped her to celebrate in style!
We have now passed the shortest day and can look forward to lighter evenings for after work and school hacking! We just need to get through false spring, second winter and the deep mud of March now! Its this time of year where we feel very greatful for the lovely staff that provide daily care for our horses and ponies year round, no matter the weather!

Our turnout tracks is up and running, ready for winters turnout! We can now add this to our turnout paddock, all-weather surfaced turnout, and horse walker to ensure our horses are given plenty of freedom with their friends, and/or controlled excersize on a daily basis.
At Birtle Riding Centre, the well being of every horse is our priority, and this is just one way we aim to meet their needs.

Watch this space! Our lovely yard is currently undergoing some maintenance work to get things in peak condition for winter; we will also be installing some turnout tracks to ensure all of our horses are benefitting from the welfare big 3 (food, freedom and friends) even in the winter months.
A video tour of the stables, yard, and facilities will be uploaded here as soon as the work is done!
04/10/2025 Carboot sale:
Despite having to reschedule our carboot sale due to the storm, the new date of the 4th October turned out perfectly; plenty of bargains were found by our visitors and our charity bake sale proved very popular..
The combined total raised for HAPPA from stall rent and cake sales was £180!
we hope all of our visitors had a good time. Special thanks to Smokhaus Sausages for keeping everyone fed!
