I first joined Birtle almost 30 years ago as a riding school client and then 20 years ago bought my horse who is now 26 and the oldest mare on the yard. I was very much a novice as Amber was my first horse and during the first few years I spent a lot of time falling off!! But it was also during this time that the support from my friends at Birtle taught me so much. The other liveries showed us all the wonderful hacks in the area and now Amber and I share these with newer clients on the yard. Today Amber is as fit as ever partly due to the care and attention that she receives from the staff on the yard but also due to the exercise that she gets on a daily basis, we both really couldn’t be happier 💕🐎
